LEF's Fueled Programs provide for LCPS students and families through weekly meal bags and in-school pantries. Below you will find detailed information about how your school can obtain our support, relevant surveys and forms, as well as information that can be shared with your school community.
This helps us understand the needs of your school. Complete the form if you would like to participate in our programs.
This is only for schools currrently participating in our programs.
If you are in need of our services at any point in the year, please apply and our team will be in touch.
Programs
Students excel when they have access to what they need.
Weekly Meal Bags
Support for All Ages
Available to any LCPS student with self-reported need, our meal bags eliminate access barriers by requiring no personal information, having no eligibility requirements, and going home directly with students. These supplemental kits are designed to support the entire household, not just individual students.
In-School Pantries
Ideal for Middle and High Schools
Fueled partners with schools to establish on-site pantries offering culturally appropriate food and hygiene essentials. Using a client-choice model that respects dignity, families select items that meet their specific needs. Schools customize their distribution schedule and approach based on community requirements. Our volunteer team delivers supplies weekly, guided by Family Liaisons who communicate each school's unique needs.
Snacks
It's Difficult to Learn when You're "Hangry"
Students need proper nutrition to reach their full potential throughout their busy days. From morning classes to afternoon activities, young bodies and minds require consistent energy to stay focused and perform at their best. Having access to quick, healthy snacks during these transitions helps bridge the gap between meals and prevents energy crashes that affect mood and behavior. By ensuring students have access to nutritious food throughout their day, we help set them up for success in all their endeavors.

1
Plan
Assess the level of food insecurity in your student population and determine which services would be most beneficial. Administrative support is mandatory for all participating schools, particularly for pantry programs which require dedicated space and staff oversight.
2
Apply
Complete our application form, even if your school has participated previously. This annual requirement helps LEF staff accurately assess current needs at each school and determine appropriate support levels for the upcoming year.
3
Publicize
Once approved, share details about available services with students, families, and staff through multiple communication channels. Effective promotion ensures resources reach those who need them most.
4
Distribute
Collaborate with your school team and LEF staff to implement the distribution method that best serves your unique community. Options include scheduled pick-up times, discrete delivery systems, or integration with existing school programs.
