Honoring Loudoun County’s Top Students

On Sunday, December 6, 2009, Loudoun County Public Schools honored its seniors for their academic achievements at the 27th Annual Excellence in Education Banquet at the National Conference Center.

The Loudoun Education Foundation is the primary sponsor of this year’s banquet, just as it has every year since 1992. The Excellence in Education Banquet honors seniors from Loudoun County's 10 high schools and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology who have achieved a 4.0 or better grade point average during the first three years of their high school career or who have been named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist, National Achievement Scholarship semifinalist or Hispanic Achievement Scholarship semifinalist. As part of this honor, students were allowed to select a teacher who had most inspired them to attend the banquet as their guest.
